Seton Hall has continued their trend of targeting New York City recruits by offering Shamorie Ponds and Saquan Singleton.
A name you may know by now if you follow Pirates recruiting, 2016 guard Shamorie Ponds (Thomas Jefferson, N.Y.) has been tracked by the coaching staff since at least December, when an offer was reported. Apparently that offer is official as of today and Ponds will also visit Seton Hall next week, perhaps alongside Fresno State transfer Braeden Anderson.
Ponds plays with the New York Lightning, the same AAU program as Khadeen Carrington, 2015 signee Veer Singh and 2016 Rodney Miller, who the staff has offered recently. Ponds used to run with the Juice All-Stars, which increases the odds that Tiny Morton is the recruiter here.
The 6-foot-1 guard picked up offers from Rhode Island and Creighton after the most recent AAU evaluation period to go along with USC, Oklahoma, St. John’s, Minnesota and others.
You can watch a recent highlight clip of him hooping for Jefferson here:
The lesser known of the two recruits is 2017 Saquan Singleton. The New York Gauchos and Monsignor Scanlan (N.Y.) guard has picked up an offer from Seton Hall, his first from a high-major.
Saquan Singleton, a Class of 2017 G playing for the NY Gauchos, has picked up an offer from Seton Hall.

From what I could gather, the Hall is just the second school to offer Singleton after Manhattan did so last night.
The level of play in this clip is suspect, but here’s a look at yet another recruit that Seton Hall has been first or near the first to offer:
