Seton Hall offers junior college point guard Jonathan Mulmore

Per a source, Seton Hall has extended an offer to Allegany College of Maryland point guard Jon Mulmore after driving down for a visit yesterday.

A 6-foot-4 sophomore point guard that would be available to join up for next season, Mulmore averaged 26.1 ppg, 5.9 apg and 4.3 rpg, just .1 points per game shy of leading the entire NJCAA.

Jon has picked up offers from the likes of Georgetown, Western Kentucky and SMU this month and it looks like his recruitment could really heat up as schools search for an instant impact at guard; Ohio State and West Virginia are also involved.

A native of New Orleans before relocating to Houston to play at Redemption Christian, Mulmore was lightly recruited out of high school before going the junior college route.

UPDATE (2/3): Jon has committed to Georgetown

Chris ~ with Kevin Stallings now taking over Pitt, two top recruits have asked to be released from their National Letters of Intent, Cory Manigault, a 6’8” power forward from Paul VI HS in Fairfax, VA and James Kithcart, a 6’2” point guard from Virginia Episcopal. It’s my understanding that both Maryland & Providence have reached out to Manigault (#4 PF in VA) and was told that Kitcart (#1 PG in VA) is trying to follow Jamie Dixon to TCU. Any info on either of these kids???

Also, PVI has a 6’2” Junior PG named Aaron Thompson that I understand is real good w/offers from UConn, Miami, VA Tech + others … any info on him???

    • Don’t know of any immediate Seton Hall connections to those kids.

Wow that was fast. Good pick-up for Georgetown

This is a great pick-up for G-Town- heard Maryland was hot on his trail and at least he chose in Big East

JT3 had serious playing time to offer the kid immediately with DSR leaving. They have an incoming freshman guard from St Anthony’s who is really good also. If they steal another Jersey kid from us in Taurean Thompson I will be pissed.

The Jagan Mosely kid isn’t rated that highly. He could be good in the future, but he isn’t an immediate contributor like Govan. Govan is going to be star.

Mosely isn’t a great shooter or scorer but he’s a Derrick Gordon-type of player. Great leader, great defender, intense/hard worker, strong, physical, smart….all the intangibles. He’s a guard who was playing power Forward at St. Ants because they had a 4-guard lineup and led them to a TOC title.

I read about a month ago that he talks to Taurean Thompson every day about going to G’Town. Having a 3rd StAnthony kid (i know TT left for his senior year) go to GTown would suck. BUT, I don’t think Thompson would choose the Hoyas with Govan and Copeland at the 5 and 4 spots for next couple of years. One never knows though and GTown is known for churning out NBA post players.
