Seton Hall offers Collin Sexton

Following a long weekend on the recruiting trails, Seton Hall has offered an emerging Class of 2017 point guard.

Georgia native Collin Sexton picked up an offer from Seton Hall after a 30.6 ppg, 5 rpg showing over three games in Brooklyn at the Nike EYBL event.

The Southern Stampede and Pebblebrook High School (Ga.) product will surely attract more offers over the coming hours, days and months as he does his final tour on the AAU circuit.

Alabama (unofficial visit), Iowa State, Clemson and VCU were the main schools recruiting him as of early February with Cincinnati offering since; Florida has also joined in.

Here’s a snippet from’s analysis of his game:

“At 6-foot-2, Collin Sexton has impressive physical features for a lead guard. He’s solidly built, with a lengthy set of arms. Sexton is extremely quick and has an explosive first step. He’s also an impressive all around athlete. Sexton stays in attack mode and is more of a new age, scoring lead guard than a true point. His quickness and nifty ball handling allow him to create space from defenders with ease.”

Sexton joins fellow 2017 lead guards like Trevon Duval (Advanced Prep, Tx.), Nate Pierre-Louis (St. Benedict’s Prep, N.J.), Nojel Eastern (Evanston, Ill.), Daron Russell (Imhotep Charter, Pa.) and Isaiah Washington (St. Raymond, N.Y.) that have been on the Hall’s radar.

Seton Hall hosts Delaware transfer Kory Holden on an unofficial visit Tuesday; he could potentially team up with any of those guards for two years in South Orange come 2017-18.

Just heard that Isaiah Whitehead is coming back-hope the news is true for both him and the Hall-will track down the sources.

That would be really great if true. I wonder what sources are reporting this, but it seems a little preliminary before he even performs at the camps.

hallstorm I agree- but my “source” said post it and he has been corrcet before( he still does not want his name used LOL)

Please don’t play with my emotions like this.

Larry-of all people I know, you will handle your emotions effectively- but I do know what a great Fan you are so I present this straw.

Fair enough, LPB. I want you to be correct, of course. His return creates a national ranking and I think a huge residual effect for current high school recruits (and hopefully future high school recruits 3, 4, 5 years and beyond from now).

          I trust your source….
