While you were busy digesting Seton Hall’s fresh Big East schedule, the Pirates’ coaching staff hosted a pair of visitors on their South Orange campus on Tuesday.
According to a source, 2016 center Taurean Thompson (Brewster Academy, N.H.) and 2017 guard Isaiah Washington (St. Raymond’s, N.Y.) visited Seton Hall unofficially today. The latter visitor was first reported by Andrew Force of Future150.com.
A 6-foot-9, top-100 big man, Taurean Thompson was a St. Anthony product that recently switched schools to Brewster Academy. Thompson was offered by Seton Hall last winter and took in at least one Seton Hall game; I spotted the forward speaking with Fred Hill outside the Pirates’ locker room after a loss to DePaul in January.
As for Isaiah Washington, Seton Hall offered the New York City guard in July after watching him out in Vegas; they are still the most recent school to do so. Despite not sporting the biggest frame, it looks like Isaiah will be one of the top 2017 guards coming out of NYC.
