The top available transfer has set up an unofficial visit to Seton Hall next Tuesday.

After visiting South Carolina this coming weekend, Delaware sophomore point guard Kory Holden has told ESPN that he will visit South Orange unofficially next Tuesday prior to traveling to Baylor for an official later this month.

Holden, who averaged 17.7 ppg, 4.2 apg this past season for UDel, isn’t eligible until the 2017-18 season but would make an immediate impact for any of the five schools he is considering; Virginia Tech and Kansas are also in the mix.

The recruitment of Holden began about 10 days ago and is in no way dependent on Isaiah Whitehead’s future. He would potentially be paired with a freshman point guard recruit and/or a senior Jevon Thomas two seasons from now.

Man, I hope we can get this kid…..our team in 2017-18 would be special.

2 things that will console me when I hear the seemingly inevitable IW departure news will be the signings of Kory Holden and Taurean Thompson

A very hypothetical Whitehead -> Holden transition at PG would be as smooth as it gets, I’d imagine.

Now THAT would be incredible news:
        1) IW stays 1 more year
        2) Holden signs, eligible after IW is a lottery pick next year
3 Taurean signs LOI with SHU

Chris, what is your gut feeling on JT? Is he going to play for us?
