The transfer market continues to heat up as Seton Hall has made Fordham graduate transfer Antwoine Anderson‘s trimmed list while they have also set up a visit with George Washington forward Kevin Marfo.

A three-year player at Fordham after sitting out his freshman season, Anderson (11.1 ppg, 3.2 apg) was used at both guard spots but primarily played point guard in 2016-17.

The Rochester, N.Y. native is a decent shooter from range (41-123, 33%) but primarily made his living within the arc (85-187, 45%) last season.

Oddly enough, Anderson could potentially help replace a former Fordham teammate in Jon Severe at one of Seton Hall’s competitors in Iona.

UPDATE (4/13 8PM): Antwoine will visit UConn this weekend before visiting South Orange next week.

Anderson joins a growing list of guard options that have emerged as we await Trevon Duval’s decision, including 2017s Amauri Hardy (OK. State de-commit) and Jamari Wheeler (Duquesne de-commit), graduate transfers Geno Thorpe (USF) and Stephen Jiggetts (FDU), and Chris Darrington (JuCo).

In related transfer news, 6-9 George Washington freshman forward Kevin Marfo (2.7 ppg, 2.8 rpg) will visit South Orange late next week.

An 18-point, 9-rebound effort against Florida State stands out from what was an inconsistent freshman campaign.

Marfo chose the Colonials over Providence and Boston College after spending two seasons at Massachusett’s Worcester Academy; he spent his early high school career at Bergen Catholic (N.J.).

Due to transfer regulations, he would have to sit out next season while occupying a scholarship.

The list of PG options is growing, but how long will these guys stick around? Can’t SHU afford to offer at least one while waiting for TD? How many 2017 scholarships do we have left after Cale and Brodie?

Should be 3 open … Need a starting PG & more depth off the bench in the front court. A backup PG/ contingency for Duval going elsewhere would be nice…

No one is going to commit to us until Duval situation is resolved. Grad transfers and JUCOs are not going to want to sit for 32 minutes per game behind Duval. Just the way it is but no doubt it is the right strategy to wait for Duval when we have a realistic chance of landing him.

The boy needs to hurry up a decide. We got a team to build ?

At first glance, G. Thorpe looks like a stronger PG than Anderson. Hard to judge from a short video like this-looks like more of a slash and dish type of 2 guard (like KC) than a true pass first PG. But, I suppose it depends on the role you’re given: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wt7wxvPqrcY
