NEW YORK — Following an eye-pleasing first half, it looked like Seton Hall was going to ease to their third win over Butler on the season.
Seton Hall will look to complete a three-game season sweep of Butler in the quarterfinals of the Big East Tournament just days after hosting the Bulldogs for Senior Night.
No. 21 Seton Hall hopes to start Big East play 3-0 for the first time since 1998-99 when they clash with Butler at Hinkle Fieldhouse on Saturday.
It won’t be official, but Seton Hall (19-10, 9-8) can essentially lock up their second consecutive trip to the NCAA tournament with a win at No. 13 Butler (23-6, 12-5) on Saturday.
Seton Hall will have a chance to build momentum and notch a résumé-building win on Wednesday night when they host No. 11 Butler.
