NEWARK — Seton Hall ran out of steam and was then steamrolled by No. 2 Villanova in front of a record crowd at Prudential Center that wanted a repeat of last year’s Big East Tournament final.
Seton Hall trailed by just a point with 2:47 to play in the first half before a shocking 22-1 run from No. 2 Villanova buried their hosts en route to an anti-climatic 92-70 loss.
Seton Hall must dig deep to avoid another embarrassment when they visit top-ranked Villanova at the Pavilion on Monday night.
