NEWARK, N.J. — No. 13 Seton Hall overcame a slow start and turned defense into a 23-5 run which proved enough to dispatch Georgetown 74-61 at Prudential Center.
Following a humbling beat down at the hands of Marquette to split a Midwest road trip, No. 13 Seton Hall returns home to take on Georgetown.
NEWARK — It was far from pretty, but Seton Hall nipped Georgetown 62-59 in another must-have by way of a 13-5 run to close the game, 27 points from Desi Rodriguez, and several milestones from Angel Delgado (12 pts, 13 rebs).
With the NCAA tournament on their mind, Seton Hall closes out the home portion of their schedule when they host a slumping Georgetown on Senior Night.
Losers in five of their last six games, Seton Hall (13-8, 3-6) now has a mountain to climb to get back into the NCAA discussion starting with a road test at Georgetown on Saturday.
