The second of three July evaluation periods took place from Wednesday to Sunday of last week, resulting in several offers from Seton Hall to both 2016 and 2017 recruits as the staff took in games from Atlanta to Rucker Park in New York City.
UAA Finals – Atlanta, Georgia
The coaching staff was back in Georgia for the Under Armour Association final last week as AAU teams like WE R1 (2017 guard Trevon Duval) and Sports U (2016 Shawn Montague, 2017 guard Nate Pierre-Louis, 2018 center Naz Reid, 2018 Jahvon Quinerly) competed in Atlanta.
In addition to tracking those pre-existing targets, 2016 Philly Pride wing DeAndre Hunter (Friends Central, Pa.) turned a few heads by averaging 19.2 ppg over four contests including a 28-point outburst, resulting in an offer from the Hall.
At 6-7, Hunter (pictured right) is a top-150 caliber player that already held offers from the likes of Georgia Tech, UConn, Arkansas, Tennessee, UNLV, and Rutgers since the beginning of July. Miami (Fla.), North Carolina State, Penn State and others had offered Hunter dating back to the beginning of the year.
Here’s an impressive clip of Hunter from the NBA Top-100 Camp:
Joining Hunter as a new recruiting target is We R1 wing Kodye Pugh of Blair Academy (N.J.). After deciding to reclassify from 2016 to 2017 and transfer to Blair Academy this spring, Pugh was offered by Seton Hall after being spotted playing alongside Trevon Duval.
A 6-8 wing, Kodye is already considered a top-150 prospect and has received ‘ships from Miami (Fla.), Auburn, Penn State, Florida and Clemson since the beginning of July.
Adidas Uprising – Rucker Park, New York
More locally, Tiny Morton was present on the first night of adidas Uprising at Rucker Park to watch Thomas Jefferson (N.Y.) and NY Lightning guard Shamorie Ponds.

In addition to watching long-time target Myles Powell, Seton Hall offered 2017 Oak Hill Academy (Va.) point guard Matt Coleman while in Chicago.
A top-50 guard that is teammates with 2016 center target Rodney Miller, Coleman also picked up an offer from Florida this weekend to go along with Indiana, UConn, Texas, Memphis, Virginia and other high-majors. Like DeAndre Hunter, Matt was also at the NBA Top-100 camp in June:
The final July evaluation period begins on Wednesday at 5pm.
