Myles Powell to sign NLI with Seton Hall

2016 shooting guard Myles Powell (South Kent, Conn.) will sign his National Letter of Intent later today at South Kent.

Committed to Seton Hall since mid-September, Powell has wasted no time by signing today, the first available day for the early signing period.

A top-100 recruit and touted by his coach as a top-five shooter in his class, Myles will play at South Kent after transferring from Trenton Catholic Academy. The athletics department usually bundles their releases on signed recruits, so I’d expect the release on Myles to come out as soon as possible if he’s the only early signee.

Seton Hall is still recruiting 2016 combo guard Eron Gordon, who visited in late October. An NCAA dead period spans from November 9-12, but the coaching staff is them able to contact him thereafter. Gordon has stated that he’s unsure of when he’ll sign (the early period only lasts until November 18th) and is also considering Memphis, Indiana and Nevada.
