A 2015 power forward from Chicago’s St. Rita High School, Myles Carter pledged to Seton Hall last month over schools like DePaul, Memphis, VCU and Cleveland State.
Carter joins a three-deep class that includes already-signed shooting guard Dalton Soffer (Poway, Calif.) and wing Veer Singh of the New York Lightning and Thurgood Marshall (N.Y.). Singh also signed today, per a source.
“We are very excited to welcome Amarveer and Myles into our family,” Kevin Willard said this afternoon in a release. “They are both very talented and terrific young men coming from outstanding high schools and AAU programs who will fit in well on our team and will be able to contribute both on and off the court.”
“Veer is a highly skilled and talented wing and has developed into a dynamic playmaker,” Willard said. “He has a strong ability to shoot the basketball and is also a very good passer. He not only comes from a terrific high school basketball program, but he also played for a great AAU team in the New York Lightning.”
“Myles is a high-energy and talented big man with tremendous upside,” Willard said. “He has played at top tier programs at St. Rita’s and MeanStreets, and his experience competing at a high level will serve him well on this team and competing in the BIG EAST.”
The Hall have one scholarship remaining, which could hypothetically be used for an incoming junior college or graduate transfer, specifically at forward.
