Kansas State decommit Eric Cobb visits Seton Hall

Four days after deciding to open up his recruitment, Kansas State decommit Eric Cobb visited Seton Hall unofficially on Thursday.

First reported by Evan Daniels this morning, 6-foot-9 power forward Eric Cobb of Maryland’s St. Frances Academy is to unofficially visit Seton Hall today, per a source.

Seton Hall traveled down to Maryland on Tuesday to watch Cobb workout and extend an offer to him; VCU and South Carolina did the same. Cobb plans to visit VCU on Monday, according to Adam Zagoria.

Despite the coaching staff missing on a few of their top 2015 forward targets last fall, getting Cobb on campus so quickly after his decommitment on Sunday without any obvious connections to the player is fairly impressive. Still, a visit is obviously not a commitment.

Cobb was described to me by Marcus Helton of DMVElite as an “old school power forward” that is “big, strong and skilled.”

Seton Hall currently has one scholarship open for next year’s team.
