Now that you’ve gotten a good look at every team on Seton Hall’s immediate non-conference schedule, it’s time to see how you think the Pirates will do prior to their Big East opener against Marquette on December 30th.
But first, I’ll provide my game-by-game predictions.
Dartmouth – Win
Wagner – Win
Long Beach State – Win
Virginia – Loss
Ole Miss/Oklahoma State – Win
Georgia – Loss
George Washington – Win
Rutgers – Win
Troy – Win
Saint Peter’s – Win
Wichita State – Loss
South Florida – Win
Record: 9-3
Explanation: I don’t think I’m going out on any limbs here. Winning against Long Beach State is a must and a potential third place game against Ole Miss/Oklahoma State will be a nail-biter. Seton Hall must win at least two of these three games: Ole Miss/OK State, Georgia and George Washington to like where they’re at seven games into the season.
Out of Virginia, Wichita State and Georgia – Seton Hall’s toughest three potential opponents – I have a feeling they’ll give Wichita State a run for their money. Georgia is the obvious pick for the most likely top-50 (or better) win, but I have a soft spot for the Bulldogs.
