Seton Hall is officially dancing for the fourth-straight season and have received a 10-seed in Jacksonville. The Pirates will face 7-seed Wofford of the Southern Conference in the first N.C.A.A. tournament first round.
Should the Hall advance? A likely storyline-saturated matchup with two-seed Kentucky in the second round.
As soon as we saw Villanova handed a six-seed, it seemed increasingly likely that Seton Hall would be bumped out of the 8-9 game and into a 10-seed.
That’s not always bad news and Seton Hall certainly could have had a worse draw, but Wofford is the 19th-best team according to KenPom and a potential second round rematch with Kentucky poses its own challenges.
